Friends Of Henderson Libraries Receive Commendation
THE NEED FOR A FRIENDS GROUP
The Friends of Henderson Libraries has financially and publicly
supported he programs and collections of the Henderson District
Public Libraries through charitable and educational activities
Henderson Libraries are proud to have served the community since
the early 1940s and, today, operates six facilities within the
growing city of over 257,700 residents.
The Library District serves all Henderson residents now and into
the future; however, to do so, the district needs our help!!

expertise and talents to assist the Library through volunteer

Cleaning House? As you run across books you no longer
need, please box them up and bring them to any Henderson
library. Your donated books are a great source for the
library. From July, 2009 through June, 2011, donated books
valued at over $219,271 were placed on the shelves. Books
not placed on the shelves are sold at Friends bookstores,
Amazon sales and/or our monthly book sales. In addition,
books are often donated to organizations for the homeless,
hospitals, senior centers, etc.
