From then on, I have found ways to be connected with libraries—a part-time reference job in college, a library mother at my children’s elementary school, and a lifelong patron of public libraries. Among my fondest memories of my doctoral studies are the hours spent in the stacks at New York Public Library and Columbia University. Community Service: I have been a volunteer since childhood and consider community service essential to my well-being. In Henderson, I have volunteered on St. Rose Hospital’s Siena campus, and I have assisted the Henderson Community Foundation. As a member of the Sun City Anthem Book Club, I have served as president and helped design and organize the SCA Library. Currently, my volunteer work is concentrated on supporting the Henderson Libraries through Friends of Henderson Libraries. Points of Pride: Kathryn H.
